MADE BY GOOGLE HARDWARE LAUNCH
Together with Google, we created an experience that was anything but an ordinary tech launch. We built an experience around each of the three hero products (Pixel 3, Google Home Hub, and Google Pixel Slate) - each one anchored by an influential New Yorker who could help us tell our stories and inspire users about how the products can be used in the real world.
In addition to creating the ‘sandbox’ space for guests to play and interact with the products, we also focused on the secondary spaces of this multi-story event. Including guest flow, wayfinding signage, check-in, catering spaces, breakout meeting spaces and green rooms.

Pixel Park
Google’s latest flagship phone, the Pixel 3, is all about life on the go so the perfect environment to show off its new features was a playful NYC park.
The park's design included a large custom mural by Brooklyn-based artist, Alex Proba, as well as a large Subway-inspired tile wall which acted as a photo op to show off the Pixel 3’s new Group Selfie feature.
A classic New York wheat paste wall inspired the look of the Pixel 3’s Lens demo, which invited guests to scan one of the posters on the wall or the Conde Nast magazines on the rack.
While learning about Google’s new digital wellness initiative, visitors could refresh themselves with fresh branded juices.
Custom hot-dog vendor style carts were located just outside the park and featured Google Pixel related items just as Made by Google accessories and the Google Travel Assistant.
Pixel Slate Cafe
To showcase Google’s new versatile laptop, Google Pixel Slate, we created the Pixel Slate Cafe in partnership with Cleo Wade.
The cafe allowed for product demos while also having enough seating space for both journalists eager to write a rave review and guests wanting to relax and grab a complimentary coffee.
the thoughtful apartment
To showcase the new home assistant and the idea of a digital thoughtful home, we created a deconstructed NYC apartment inspired by Christina Tosi. Three rooms -- a kitchen, living room, and bedroom -- demonstrated how the Google Home Hub seamlessly blends into our homes and our lives.
We designed a modern, stylish kitchen in hues of pink and marble that allowed PMMs to show off how seamlessly Home Hub fits into the kitchen. A custom island served as the demo area and a deconstructed fridge featured the full color range of the new product.
The living room demo focused on how to best pair the Google Home Hub with other Google products like Chromecast and partners like DirectTV.
In the cozy bedroom environment, a custom niched headboard served as the demo setting for the Google Home Hub, which specifically focused on showcasing the Hubs’ adjustability to light.
In addition to highlighting specific device features, each space was designed to meet the following criteria
Large enough to hold 10-12 people for each demo
Separate entrance & exit for guest flow
Sound proof
Self contained air flow management in each unit
Custom lightbox ‘windows’ connected to the product showcasing the Hubs’ adjustability to light
