LCMC - Clinic environmental design
LCMC Health is a New Orleans based, non-profit health system on a mission: to provide the best possible care and to put a little more heart into healthcare. After revamping the LCMC brand and renovating the primary office spaces in 2019 Monigle was tapped once again to create a unifying concept for both the hospitals and clinic spaces.
The new concept needs to modernize the clinic experience and help build consistency across the spaces, reinforcing that they are a part of LCMC Health’s system of care. At the same time, the experience also needs to enhance the connection to local neighborhoods, physicians, and the diverse needs of the community they serve.
A prototypical space was created to show the ideal adjacencies and flow of a clinic experience. It solves for wayfinding at key moments in the journey to ensure recognizability in an on brand, extraordinary, way. Once the design was approved a full set of design guidelines was created for all new construction and renovations, providing a series of scaleable elements to be utilized across various budget scenarios.
